Come baby girl. Come. The world awaits you. Life awaits you. Don’t stay forever inside in the dark. You are a child of the light. Marked by water and wine, the darkness does not suit you. Come and see with eyes ablaze with wonder the goodness of our God and the beauty of his creation. Come and hear the songs of celebration waiting to burst forth from our lips. Come and feel the long delicate fingers of your mother wishing to hold your tiny fingers and worn calloused hands of your grandpa waiting to squeeze you tight.
Come and hear the whispers of things which you can not yet imagine; of mountains awaiting your footsteps and skies filled with endless clouds. Come and feel the sweet embrace of loving lips upon your forehead and know that you are the beloved of God. Come and taste of all that life has in store for you.
Come and make stories of your own. Stories that turn into legend and myth because you refused to live small and safe and selfish. Come and learn and grow in grace and beauty and wisdom and love. Come my unnamed child and bless the world with your presence, for before the beginning of time you have been known and named by your Heavenly Father. Before there was me or your mother you dwelled within the mind of God and there was never a time when the spark of you did not exist. Come and set that once tiny spark drifting in eternity into a roaring blaze of living actuality. Come sweet child. Come. I await you.
